Educational Activity
Introduction
This is an activity I created for a grade 1 boy diagnosed with autism at my placement within the Peel school board.
Summary of Project
The child had to take the clothing pins and clip it to the corresponding colour on the popsicle stick. Each stick has a different difficulty, for the easiest level, the clothing pin and popsicle have no colours, and he simply had to clip it on. The difficulty goes up, as the coloured stickers on the stick increase, or more colours are added onto it. The goal behind this activity was to help with motor skills, by opening and closing the pins, alongside colour coordination.
Core Competencies Demonstrated
The Core Competencies I showcased were Strategic Planning and Creative Problem Solving.
